Hard Flooring

Hard flooring is generally made of natural materials such as wood, stone, brick, ceramic tile and marble.

They give a natural look to rooms.

It is generally tough, durable and stain resistant; and good for high traffic areas.

It is noisy, can be slippery when wet and is usually expensive to install.

Wood flooring can be used in any decorating style. Whether it is elegant, casual, modern or traditional depends on the type, pattern and finish of the wood.

Stone flooring includes slate and marble. Marble is the most elegant and expensive.

Brick dates back to Biblical times, (Exodus 5: 7..) and is probably the oldest manufactured building product. It is perfect for a casual and country look.

Ceramic tile comes unglazed or glazed.

Unglazed tile, quarry and Mexican terra cotta, have a natural, earthy quality. Glazed is unglazed tile painted and fired to harden the surface pigmentation. If the glaze gets chipped the color of the underlying tile will show through. Glazed tiles offer an unlimited selection of colors and designs.
