Resilient Flooring
Linoleum and vinyl are considered resilient flooring. They are easy to install and come in tiles and sheet goods.
Vinyl tile is moisture stain-resistant and easy to clean. They are available in a variety of colors and surfaces and can be used in any room in the house. They are good for high traffic areas and are moderately priced. The sub-floor that they are laid on must be in good condition because all defects will show through the thin flexible tiles.
Linoleum was the traditional flooring of most American kitchens. Today’s linoleums are better and reasonably durable. Will need to have linoleum sealer applied annually.
