Types of Wall Fixtures
Wall fixtures are of course mounted on the wall. They are available in a wide variety of styles from traditional to ultramodern. Some require lampshades, some cast light in all directions and some cast light up or down.
Sconces are usually used in pairs to flank an object, such as the fireplace or a piece of furniture.

Wall lamps can be used to provide task lighting for specific areas such as reading in bed, working at a desk etc. They are good for freeing up the space on night tables or end tables or where there is no table.

Incandescent wall fixtures should be used for bathroom lights or make-up lights around the mirror. Incandescent lights give pleasing skin-tone coloration.
